What is Guildrun?

Guildrun is a single-player PvE roguelike autobattler from Leyline. You draft heroes, place them on a board, and let combat resolve while you make build decisions through shops, items, relics, and class specializations. Steam remains the authority for price and demo availability if the store page changes.

Is there a free demo?

Yes. The Guildrun Demo launched on Steam on 16 July 2026 as a free download (app ID 4425970). The full game is listed separately and planned for late 2026. Autobattler experience helps, but the demo teaches placement and shops without requiring TFT rank history. Install the demo app separately from the wishlist entry so you can play while the full release is still in its late-2026 window.

Is Guildrun multiplayer or PvP?

No. Official materials describe pure PvE with no timer, no queue, and no PvP meta. You play offline-style single-player runs against monsters and rifts. Longer Endless climbs stretch well past a short session once you understand auctions and pivots. You will not queue against other players; every rift run is a single-player puzzle against monster encounters.

How many heroes are in the demo?

Steam store copy lists 25 heroes, 180 specializations, 75 specialization paths, 300+ relics, and 100+ items in the demo pool, unlocked over successive runs. Pure PvE is a deliberate design choice so builds are not forced by a ranked ladder. Not every hero is available on the first boot—run-based unlocks expand the pool as you complete attempts.

What are Shards?

Shards are the run currency used in shops and related offer nodes. You earn them between rounds and sometimes during combat, then spend them on heroes, items, relics, and rerolls. Unlock pacing means early runs still expand future shops even when you fail a boss.

What is the difficulty system?

There are eight difficulties. Clearing a run unlocks a harder tier with additional modifiers. After the structured content, Endless mode continues until defeat and posts to global leaderboards. Combat-generated Shards can turn an odd unit into economy infrastructure for the next auction. Climb only after you can name why the previous boss killed you; otherwise farm unlocks on a lower tier first.

Who developed Guildrun?

Leyline (Leyline Creations GmbH), an independent studio in Munich. The press release highlights lead designers with Hearthstone and The Bazaar credits and team members from Activision Blizzard, Riot, Konami, and EA. Leyline is the developer and publisher; community channels are listed on Steam and the official site.

When is the full release?

Public messaging targets late 2026 on Steam. The main store page still presents the full game as coming soon while the demo is already live. Late 2026 is a window, not a locked calendar day—recheck the main app page near launch. Use wishlist notifications on the main app page rather than treating community guesses as a ship date.

Which languages are supported?

Steam lists English (full audio), German, Portuguese-Brazil, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Spanish (Spain) for interface support. Interface language support can expand later; the Steam language table is the live source. English includes full audio; other listed languages currently cover interface text according to Steam.

Can I save mid-run?

Yes. Official feature text says you can think as long as you want, save mid-run, and return later. There is no combat input timer. Mid-run saves support the no-timer design so you can pause a guild attempt between real-life tasks. That feature supports the marketed no-timer loop so a long thinking pause does not forfeit the attempt.

If you are installing tonight, open the demo guide and beginner guide in that order. If you already died to a boss with a full shop of regrets, read the systems page on pivots and the economy page on auctions.

If you want roster theory, use heroes and classes. If you want power spikes, use relics and items. If you are deciding whether your PC runs the game, use system requirements.
