At a glance

What Guildrun is right now

Guildrun is a single-player PvE roguelike autobattler. You place heroes on a board, combat resolves automatically, and the real decisions happen between fights: shops, events, ranking heroes, equipping items, and stacking relics that rewrite how the whole team plays.

Leyline launched a public Steam demo on 16 July 2026 while the full game is planned for late 2026. The studio is based in Munich and includes veterans from Hearthstone, The Bazaar, Activision Blizzard, Riot, Konami, and EA.

Why runs feel different

Guildrun combat board with floating damage numbers and party bar
Autobattler combat resolves after you place the team.

Every hero starts with a class and ability, but rank-ups hand you specialization choices that can flip a backline healer into a frontliner or a ranged unit into a brawler. Modifier pools stack across classes, so multiclass boards are intentional rather than accidental.

Between fights you spend Shards in shops, answer trial events, and pick relics that change win conditions. There is no PvP meta forcing one board; the pressure is the rift, the difficulty modifiers, and your own greed.

  • Combat is automatic after placement; think on the timeline, not during animations.
  • Party field units fight; Reserve can still contribute if abilities carry the Backup keyword.
  • Keywords such as Rush and Stall control when abilities fire inside a fight.
  • Act ends open auctions with stronger heroes, items, and exclusive relics, including team-size expanders.
